How does VW Tiptronic transmission work?
When you are shopping for a car and see its transmission, which one do you prefer? How does VW Tiptronic transmission work on VW models?
Tiptronic transmission gives drivers who normally prefer the convenience of an automatic transmission the opportunity to feel what it is like to drive a manual transmission. To switch to Tiptronic mode, the automatic transmission in your vehicle can be overridden by moving the lever into a second shift gate, called Tiptronic. Changing the gear up can be done by moving the gear lever forward, and shifting down can be achieved by moving the lever back. You can do all of this without having to press a clutch pedal. If certain parameters are reached, the car will upshift or downshift on its own, so you don’t even need to worry about that. Tiptronic transmission is a great way to experience the worlds of automatic and manual transmission at the same time.
